Family,
Well, I’ll see you all tomorrow. I’ll probably call from the airport during the time to let you know where I am and if one of my flights was delayed or something. Holy crap, I’m coming home. Love you guys a lot. See you tomorrow.

Dear Family,
Holy crap, the last week, haha. Well, that being said, yeah, everything is good here, I’m happy, worked hard this week, still found lots of people, and this week, vacation, haha. Just saying bye parties, food, and buying stuff to remember this place. It’s hard to say bye, but it´ll be good to be home. Gotta keep on doing good stuff so I can have a family and all that junk. Weird.
Anyway. The garments, it might be better to wait, I’ll go on like Friday and buy me some, cuz I can’t remember, and I wanna pick out the type, too, so forget that. You and Madison can pick out a pair, like, 3 maximum of whatever shirt you want, and I’ll go for the rest later. Not sure what I like anymore, we´ll have to wait and see. Dinner, I miss the sweet pork burritos, and chinese food. Haha, it doesn’t matter, I’m gonna buy a rice maker the first day home so I can do that, too. But really honestly, I think I’m gonna. I think I’ll have like 15 minutes next week to read the letters and then just write a short letter to let you know that I’m ok and that I’ll be leaving and everything. I think that’s how its gonna work, anyway. All good, I’m not too worried, so if you wanna, that’s ok, if not, it won’t destroy the week. I don’t see that even being a possibility to be honest, haha.
All right. Well, you all know how I feel. I’m happy, sad, all that good stuff, but I’m gonna call all my converts this week, the members, and just try to enjoy my last time here in this beautiful country. It’s weird to have it here, but its time. I love the Gospel, have a ton of goals for when I get home, and know that I’ll stay strong doing the things that God wants. Plus, I’m now gonna be able to help you guys more now, too, and the family that is kinda lazy in doing theirs, haha. Love you guys, miss you all, but see you pretty quick. Like, REALLY, really, really, really quick.
Love, for the last time,

Madison,
Hey, yeah, 8 freakin days, holy crap, can’t believe it, but its good stuff, man. I’m soooo excited to be back there, see everybody, just hang out, have a good time. I know that it´ll be good. Anyway. You’re starting school soon, taking my car, and I won’t be able to see you muich, but that’s how life is, they say. Gotta get over it, at least I’ll have a super hot girlfriend to keep me company (and I WILL.)
Not much to say, thanks for all your writing, it was good to have heard from you. I love you and miss you a lot. Don’t miss me too much more, I’ll see you on Tuesday more or less at 10:43 at night, haha. My guess it later, like at 2.

I love you and am excited to see you, too. Just like Whitney and Brooklyn, thanks for always writing me. It made it really special to have everyone do it. I think I’m the only missionary who gets a letter from every single person in the family. See ya soon!

Dear Family,
Hey, as usual, I’m fine, just getting closer and closer to the day, and I can barely believe that its already so close, in just 13 days I’m on the bus back to Quito and in 15 I’ll be there in Utah. So weird to think that I’ve been out for 2 whole years, but cool at the same time. I’m really excited. I’m glad I did this whole mission thing, it changed my life.
I did get my package, thanks, I don’t have a bed, sleeping on the floor, no bugs at all, no baptisms to end, but oh well, I’m over it, gonna try to enjoy these last two weeks, contacting went well yesterday, not writing in the journal, still, haha, too bad, haven’t taken a lot of pics, don’t know anyone that well yet to take with them, but the last week I’m gonna take a bunch, so that’s good. I think changing it would be good, so go for that. What else? Nothing, I think.
Ah, I made a list of stuff that I’m gonna need when I get home. I’m not trunky, just thinking ahead, thinking smart, it’s how we missionaries do things. So shampoo, soap, razor, deodorant, shaving cream, toothbrush, paste, and new garments, cuz I’m gonna leave all of them here, I think. Also, what’s happening to the car? I assume Madison is taking it, right? And what about my drivers license, I have to renew it, and my debit card, too. Schedule a haircut for me, too. That’s about it. The rest I can get I think, haha.
Well, el fin se acerca, y hay poco tiempo. It’s so crazy to think how little time there actually is left, I’m not sure how to take it. Just gotta keep pushing on. It makes me sad to realize that I won’t be able to see all of the stuff here in just a little bit of time, but I know that it’s necessary, and it has to happen. I have learned so much here, have changed so much, even the little dumb things I learned how to do and I know that it was the only way for me to be converted and really feel more than anything that the gospel exists, and will help us and does help us get back to God. I’m glad to have realized that. I’m so thankful for all of these good experiences, the amazing people I’ve met, my converts and their faith, the members and their sacrifices, my comps and their support, and all of the buddies and panas I’ve met here. The mission is awesome, that’s the truth. Hard to leave, but I really feel God did a little what he wanted to with me. Just gotta wait to see the rest. Thanks for all of your support from home, and the prayers, I gotta give a talk my last Sunday here, the last in spanish, don’t wanna cry but I’m sure I will, haha. We´ll see. Love you guys.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Hermanita Madison,
Holy crap, I only have 15 days till I’m home. I have no idea how to react, just keep pushing, I guess. Hopefully. Sad about Maddy’s husband being killed. They just barely got married recently, right? I would have no idea how to cope with that. Yeah, Grandma said Broderick got home, what the crap, and Peña, too, huh, cool. He’s a good guy. Looks like Ammon will come in this week, and then it’s all left to me, so I’m happy for that. It should be fun at home, do some stuff. Love you and miss you, pray that these days will go by, I’m afraid they might just stop altogether, haha.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Dear Kids,
Hey, fun, glad you guys could do that, it’s almost August, weird, but fun, I miss you all a lot, and will see you all really soon, too, don’t worry. Love you guys.

Dear Family,
Hey, yeah, I’m fine, doing well, just pushing on the best I can. Pretty crazy to look and see how close its really getting. This is the last week I can invite people to baptism for the last Saturday of my mish. The next two weeks I invite them for when I’m already home. That’s way, way weird. So this is basically my last week to see fruits of my labors, so I’m gonna dig in super hard, find 30 people, and just be happy with it and try to help out these people the best that I can. I think it´ll be really good for me. President’s coming, too, to do interviews, but I’m not sure he´ll do me because it’s so close to coming home. We´ll see, I suppose.
Happy Anniversary, so crazy that you guys are already at 25 years, but cool. It´ll be fun to go on a cruise or something, especially cuz I’ll have the house alone, haha. Just chill. Hopefully by that time I’ll be used to it again. I think so. Good stuff.
We didn’t have the baptism like we were hoping, so that’s sad. No one came to church either, so I’m kinda sad for that. But I know that we will do better this week especially with the goals that we have, so we are excited. The zone leaders are gonna cross over and help us too, so I bet that´ll be good. Find a lot of people and new families. Gotta baptize that last week, right? I hope so. I’m having fun, gotten more used to the heat, so that makes things a little bit easier. Dropped a little weight, not a ton, but I’m happy with it. Should drop a bit more before I leave here.
Well, that’s that. I’m doing good, working hard, gonna see how this week goes, and then, wow, it´ll be even more real. 3 weeks, is still a bit, but 2 is just yeah, basically cooked. I love you guys a lot, and miss you all. 22 days, can you believe it?
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Oh, and so what day is my farewell and what time, so I can tell Elder Aitken and Evenson so they can come, too?

Well, your life continues, like usual, but that’s good. People going home, you moving out, only having 3 weeks left, so insane. Everything is happening, and I don’t know what to make of it, but that’s ok. Whatever. Cool about the rain, I know that God wanted it to happen, and if everyone fasted, it was obviously for that. Claro que si, mi ñañita. Cool beans.
Well, what can I say? You guys got the whole house to yourselves, right? That’s fun. I’m gonna go work like a freakin bestia today and during this week. Got interviews, and then I got some other stuff to do, too. So freaky, man. Anyway. Enjoy what you got left of the summer. Put something on my facebook about me coming home, that would be cool. Just DO it. Love you and miss you a lot.

Dear Brooklyn,
Sad about that girl, though. I think that you can still have fun though, just keep doing good stuff. Enjoy the summer, school starts in what, 3 weeks? How fast was that? Miss you and love you.

Mother, Father, and others,
Hey, yeah, its been better, so that’s good. Still just thinking like a bestia about the time, but I think after this week hopefully it´ll die down a bit, and not just get worse, haha. We´ll see. We did some stuff, taught a ton and found a lot of new people, which I’m glad for. I’m gonna try, so thats good. Crazy that I can say I don’t have any more months left, though. Just weeks. Who woulda thunk it. Anyways.
The package, I had an Elder in Quito pay for it, love the guy, and I’m just gonna pay him back, so hopefully it gets here Friday. That would be great, so I’ll keep hoping so.
Well, not a lot to say. We´re just trying to do good stuff, keep my head on straight, and end good. I’m super happy about everything, can’t wait to get home and see all them guys again, but I think it´ll be weird for me to do it, too. Whatever. I love you guys a lot, thanks for all of the support. 29 days, wow, incredible. Enjoy summer, its ending fast like lightning.

Hey, I forgot to tell you happy birthday, but it was totally in my mind, so that counts for me, shut it. I hope it was a fun one. Better than mine. Nah, probably not, mine was super sick, loved it. 18, good stuff, you’re legal, but don’t go using that legalness to do bad things. I’ll come home and straight up kill you. Believe me.
Well, that’s fun, sissy. Miss ya, love ya, hope your week is full of merriment and good times.

Dear Family,
Hey, well, I’m fine here. The email is being dumb, but that’s life sometimes. I’m out here in Coca, suffering, dying, but it’s been fun. The week was super slow, I’m way tired, my feet hurt, I’ve sweat out everything I had left, I think, but just keep trucking. Pray that I can at least have the desire to keep walking. It’s starting to really wear on me, the time, and I’m thinking a lot. I don’t want to, cuz it makes things that much slower. Anyway.
Sounds like stuff at home has been good. I’m glad to see that everyone is happy and enjoying their vacations. Can’t believe that summer is already almost over. Way strange to see that, but its normal, too. I bet all the kids aren’t too excited. Freak, here, the kids die to go back. I think its just the friend thing, and the fact that they never leave their houses here during breaks. They all look so bored, haha. Nothing better to do.
Things here as far as the work are ok. Everyone lives sooo far away from each other, and we walk like the entire day, every day, over dirt roads and they all have rocks just big enough to not like slow you down, but to dig into your feet, so that’s just so much fun. We have a bunch of people that can get baptized, my favorite being the hot Colombian girl, but hey, there’s that. I’m hoping to leave here with 7 baptisms, I can live with that. We had one last weekend. We went to a river right next to a bar, haha, and the drunk people came out and watched. Idiots, yes, but it was kinda cool. The kid was happy. I taught the class to the youth on Sunday, and they all love me now, so maybe I can get to know all the people before its too late. Hope so. If not, it´ll be so much slower.
Well, thats all. I just called the secretaries to see how I can send them the money and get the package here before I have to leave, so I hope we get it out before that. Other than that, I had to buy a fan and pay like 20 bucks for buses, so thats why I’m pulling out so much money. Probably gonna have to take out another 30 before next Monday, when I get the regular 90 dollars and the reimbursements, hopefully, to put it all back together. Sure is nice to have that fan, though. We have an air conditioning fan thing, but it totally sucks and is weak, so thats good.
Love you guys a lot and miss all of you. Can’t freakin wait to get back out there into the cold again, haha. It´ll be great. Tell everyone I miss them.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Madison,
Ummm, ok, you didn’t write ME, so don’t throw that at me. I wrote you 2 weeks ago, and then received this letter. It’s YOUR fault. Maybe you should stop paying so much attention to Jenika’s bro, and start paying attention to your own, ouch, BURN, haha.
I’m hot as crap, feel like I’m in the only place hotter than hell, and am kinda done with this whole heat thing, but only 5 more weeks and I;ll be in the cold. I can;t believe that its already down to 5, so crazy to think about. Sounds like you’re having fun with the European chick, don’t get tattoos, they get ugly when you’re old, that’s a promise. Yup.
Don’t worry about college, it´ll be weird at first, but its not that big. You´ll probably even get into it, I didnt, don’t like that crap, but that’’s me. Just go with it and try to have clean fun, no bad stuff, you hear.
Ok. Well, thats all. I’ll talk to you next week. This Wednesday I hit 23 months in the mission. Yeah. The last time I can say that. After that, I can say I hit 2 years, and then I’ll be home. Cool.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Dear Whitney,
That’s gross about what happened with dad, but kinda funny, I guess, haha. Whatever. I’m glad you liked it. Summer’s almost over, enjoy it because you get to start sixth grade, right? Cool stuff. You get to go to a new school and everything. I remember when that happened to me. It was pretty fun. Love you!
Dear Brooklyn,
I’m glad that you’ve been having fun with your friends, that’s always good. Keep doing it. You’re starting high school, so weird, but just remember who your real friends are and always remember that your friends should be doing good things, not bad things, ok? Love you.
Dear Hunter,
Fun about everything that’s been going on at home. The 4th huh? I completely and totally forgot about that, how sad. Its weird to think about it, though, haha. Keep having fun there and doing all that you can, because pretty quick you gotta go back to school. Crazy. Love you!
Elder Jace Reber

Dear Family,
Hey, I don’t have a lot of time, and sorry for not writing yesterday, its just that I got changed. That’s sucky, but the good news is that I got sent to the freakin JUNGLE. YES. I’m in a place called Coca, which means Cocaine in Spanish. Guess what the problem here is? Hot women, haha, not drugs, I’m screwed. I really like it so far, haven’t seen anything cool but hopefully p-day we can go out to find some rivers and hopefully some monkeys or snakes. Hopefully. Remember how I said that Quininde was the second hottest place in the whole mission? Guess what the first is? Here. I’m dying, it’s so hot right now, but at least I’m probably gonna shed a few pounds, we hope, before I get home, and then just let the cycle continue. We will see.
Thanks for all of the birthday wishes. It was a really good day, actually. 4 freakin cakes, can you believe that? One at lunch, one at the Familia Gilces, one at a surprise party with the zone which was way unexpected, and one at the Famila Moncayos. Next day, at the Romeros. So much cake, but whatever. Super good.
What else? That’s it. Can’t believe that there are only 6 weeks left. I’m gonna buy a new memory, and go to town with pictures, so that there’s a lot of good stuff to see when I get back. It´ll be good. Anyway.
Well, that’s that. This place is somehow booming with baptisms, not sure how, so I’ll have some before I go, which will be so cool. I get to baptize in a freakin river, so cool. We´ll see how things work out. Hopefully well. Love you guys a lot, wish me luck here in these last weeks, I just wanna meet some people, have them remember my name at least. Miss you all a lot.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber

Dear Mom and Dad,
Hey, this week has been good. The seventies guy couldn’t come, but freak, in August, hopefully before I leave, one of the 12 and two seventies are gonna come, awesome. Haha, with my luck I promise that it´ll be like August 15, the day after I get home, but oh well, that’s life sometimes. Everything else has been going well. We´ve been finding a lot of people, but they just aren’t coming to church and everything. It’s frustrating at times, but we´re trying. Time’s been going faster now than ever before. Weird to think that next week will be my next change. It’s possible that they send me somewhere new, too. Almost certain. I’m really sad for that, because who wants to go somewhere for 6 weeks, where you don’t know anyone, then have to go home. I’m hoping that isn’t what happens, but I’ve got a sneaky suspicion that yes, it will be. Freak. Ok. Just try my best. Talked to Pres about it today, said he´d take it into consideration.
Sounds like you guys had some fun stuff that happened this week. Fun. Lots of pain, lots of packing, lots of visits, lots of sports, glad to hear that you´re enjoying the summer. About the trip, anywhere is good with me, as long as it’s not some dumb excursion to the lake or something that dad will probably suggest. Ask the youngens what they wanna do, and I’ll just be happy to be there, that’s the truth.
Oh, my birthday is on Saturday, just so you all know, haha. All good. I’ll probably do something for it, too. Buy a cake, some pizza, a girl, we´ll see. I’ll take pics either way. Just send home the clean ones, though. The package didn’t get here, though, went in today to the offices to see, and its not. Haha, it´ll get here right on the day I leave, verán.
Yeah, Ammon is getting close. I saw him, Brandon Peña, who played Battle of the Bands with us, and Broderick Melling, all, in the MTC. Oh, and Mack Damavandi. Crazy stuff. They should all be getting close. Everyone is starting to pull in. Kyle is even starting to get up there on time. What, 6 months already, no? So nuts.
Well, that’s that. Next week, I might be somewhere else, maybe even outside of Quito again, that´d be weird. But kinda cool, too. We´ll see. I do see miracles all the time. My favorite thing I’ve learned here in the mission, and that I know is so true, is about the grace of Christ. 2 Nefi 25:23, "For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, AFTER ALL we can do." I really like this. We won’t get a single friggin blessing, or at least all of them, the diamonds in the rough, until we do EVERYTHING that we can. Every single little thing. After we have done that, God will do the rest. Man, its true. If I give 99.999 percent, but hold even a little back, God has no need to help me, and might not. We gotta give it all. So cool. I’m gonna remember that for the rest of my life. There’s a cool story in Ether 2, too, where God talks to the Bro of Jared. Jared tells God, something like this "Hey, man, what the crap should I do so we have light? You expect us to die? Come on." So God says "Umm, what do you want me to do about it? What will YOU do so that I prepare a way for you to be saved?" The Bro of Jared gets the pic, and goes and thinks, and starts to do all he can, and then the Lord does his part. SO legit, love it. Lets do that, yeah? Better that than nothing. Cool beans. Well, that’s that. I know that church is true. Love the mish, I was thinking today in the bus, how much I’m gonna miss the stuff here, the town, the people, all the little stuff I take for granted. But it´ll be made up for by my car, hahaha. Love you guys.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Madison,
Yeah, its getting close, pretty nuts. Who’s Solveig? Is it a girl? If yes, is she hot? That’s awesome, hook me up, duh. Ok, whatever, haha. Glad that you’re having fun during your last summer in your whole life. Weird to think about, right? Should be. Good stuff about the fam coming. Hope you enjoyed it. Keep enjoying it. The family is the most important thing we have. Get that up there through your skull and we´ll be all gravy.
Love ya, girly. Oh, and I gotta stress now the importance of going to church in college. It’s probably one of your roommates will be a member, so use that to go. Please? Love ya girly.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Dear Brooklyn,
Hey, I feel you on the packing thing. Imagine doing it 6 times, but with all of the clothes, books, and everything you own. It sucks, haha. I’ll probably only have to do it 1 more time, and it´ll be way easy and fast, and I’ll be coming home, so cool beans, man. I hope that you have fun back there. Enjoy the summer. I can’t believe its already almost July. I’m turning 21 on Saturday, so freakin weird. Haha, love you and miss you a lot.
Dear Whitney,
Sorry you’re sick. We went to an amusement park the other week, and I got way sick too. Almost threw up a ton. I think I’m getting old, like dad. Can’t do anything fun anymore. Just start to get mad all the time, haha. Well, I love you and miss you a lot. Have a fun week!
Dear Hunter,
Your leg is pretty nasty, but good for the girls. Haha, not really, forget that. I’m glad that you guys are going to do a lot of fun stuff there at home. That makes me happy. Keep doing it. It’s going by fast, huh. It is for me, a lot, But, thats ok. Love you buddy, have a good week.

Before anything, I think I lost my flash memory just barely, I can’t find it, freak, lost a ton of pictures from Carcelen Bajo, not all of them, but the majority of them, I’m losing everything, this sucks.
I said,“Back track, quick! It’s worth it.Maybe someone turned it in." He said:
We went to eat in a restaraunt, way far from here, and I think it fell out there. There’s no way I can get it back now.
I said,"Can you try?It makes me sick.I hate for you to lose all those memories.” And he said:
No, I can’t get back, its hard, but I dunno. God does stuff for a reason. I’ve lost a ton of stuff lately, I just set it somewhere and it goes somewhere else, weird. I’ll just have to accept it. I didn’t lose any bappy fotos, and those are the ones I want. So that’s ok.
Then about 15 minutes later, he wrote us this:
Dear Family,
Well, I’m well, apart from losing all of those pictures and everything, that really freakin sucks, happened 3 times in the mish. I think I’ve lost close to 500 pictures, but its better than losing all of them like some Elders. One got down to his last month, and got his camera robbed. I don’t know what to do, buy another flash, maybe, some disks or something. Whatever, I’ll try to get over it, sad that I’ll never be able to see them all again, though.
We baptized 3 little kids this weekend, awesome, and the mom should get baptized on my birthday, maybe. Hopefully we can have some, that would be super cool. We are excited to see it, and the ward as well. Hopefully that proves that things are going well here. I’m happy, that’s good.
What else? One of the 70 is going to come to us on Wednesday, should get some pretty cool advice and stuff to listen to and learn. I sure hope so. Help us out here. The zone is sucking it up, no one went to church yesterday because of Father’s Day, so that sucks. Whatever. Sometimes it happens. Only 2 weeks until its my last change. That’s weird. Time moving on.
Alrighty. Well, I love you guys a lot, and know the church is true. New stuff learning and doing, and just having a lot of fun with my comp and with the zone. So that’s all cool beans. I love you all a lot.
Scared the crap outta me about the Bandit thing. Get so close to coming home and the idiot almost dies, freak.

Dear Kids,
Hey, I’m glad that you guys are all good, have the tramp, summer is boring, and the summer games thing. I remember the fireworks and everything that they always put, those were always really fun for me to see, like them. Cool stuff. I’m glad that you guys are enjoying it so much, keep doing so. I love you and miss you all a lot. Have fun with the primos, yeah?

That's Fernelius. The dude in the middle is super quiet, weird, and we had our arms around him for an hour talking in English. He didn't understand anything!
The little Farinango kids we baptized, good stuff!

Dear Mom and Dad,
Haha, what did I say in all these letters? That I’m just dead? I’m still working, don’t worry, gosh. I have been thinking a lot about home, but we are still having people that wanna get baptized. I’m not dead. It has been kinda hard, maybe slacking a little, but I’m still here, the same as before. I know that I’m being blessed. Every other missionary that says they don’t wanna leave are lying. Everyone does, but its not the top of my life. Don’t worry about me, I’m FINE, haha. 9 weeks is still a while. Oh, and I know that I’m going in at like 10:45 no? Aitken called and said it came. Super cool. Well, I hope we fly in together. Day flight, get home way late, that sucks. Oh well. We´ll see how things go.
I’m good. This week was fun, we had some invasions, the people with date for baptism, we couldn’t ever find them, so that fell. Walking around, looking for people here. Only have a couple of converts here in this ward, but they are both excellent, and the other girl is in the other ward, but showin tons of progress. I’m really happy for the people that we´ve helped here. Maybe the numbers don’t show up so strong, but I know that God is helping us. Thats the most important. Ok, anyway.
Well, that’s that. I know that the church is true, that God lives, that he wants us to be happy, to pray, read the scriptures, go to church, have FHE, do service, help others, and magnify our callings. He loves us all, and he only wants what can help us. Please don’t think I’m just wasting time. It’s getting close, but its not over. Lots to do. I love you guys a lot, I’m way excited to come home, and see all of you, and keep progressing with my life. Have a good week.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Oh, by the way, I got robbed in the bus today, so I had to take out personal money. It was a stupid mistake, sorry. 30 bucks, that sucks, so I need more to use now. I’m fine, had to happen sometime.
Dear Whitney,
Hey, I’m glad that you had a fun sleepover, all that stuff. I hope that you guys are still doing the scripture thing at home, cuz that´ll help you more than anything else. I’m excited to come home, too. Enjoy the summer, ok?
Dear Hunter,
Fun, the championship game. I hope that you guys do well. Just do your best. I’m glad that you have a new friend on the team, too. That is always a good thing. I love you a lot, buddy. Have fun, ok?
Love,
Jace
Brooklyn,
Hey, sounds fun. Enjoy the summer while you can. Its already almost the middle of June, can you believe that? Super crazy. But it has to happen. Love you a lot, I’ll see you guys pretty quick.
Love,

Love,
Jace

Dear Family,
Hey, I’m doing well. Just here, pluggin away, little by little, chippin that old rock down to the plane. I’m well, we should have some bappys this weekend, good for that, like the zone, have some good stuff this week, and am just giving what I can. Nothing interesting happened this week that I can remember. I forget things almost instantly here. Sad, but true. Just like a life back there doing the routine, no? Haha, whatever.
Well, that’s that. I don’t have a whole lot to say, thanks for continuing to keep me updated and stuff, its really good to know and it makes me happy. Love you guys a whole lot. Have a good week.

Madison,
2 weeks already, huh? Weird stuff. Its weird to hear that you even work. True, really. But whatever, thats the way the cookie crumbles, like Mrs Duncan Always says, right? I suppose. Anyway. I’m good, sooooo trunky, but I’m ok. Just 70 days left. It’s been hard, but still passing so freaking fast, too. Cool. Well, thats about that. Saw a picture of that kid, your boyfriend. I’m not gonna have to talk to him at home, am I? I’ll kill him. Especially being Jenika’s brother. Freakin girl. Love ya, have fun on your summer vacation.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Dear Hunter, Brooklyn, and Whitney,
Hey, I’m glad that your first week of summer was good. It’s weird to think how back at home summer still exists. Lot of time and stuff left for all of that. Weird. I’m doing good with Elder Baez, my companion, and we are going to have some baptisms this weekend, of some little kids. It should be fun. Only 10 more weeks and I’ll be back there at home. Weird. I love you guys a lot. Have fun!

Dear Family,
Well, I’m doing well. Madison has officially graduated from high school, summer has started, and I’m just the same here. Down to 11 weeks, pretty scared, starting to freak out, but that’s how things go, don’t they? I’m doing good with my comp, we should have some people next weekend to baptize, so that’s cool. Just gotta keep on pushing. The zone got changed, tons of new people here, everyone has less than a year, just me, my comp, one of sisters, and some other 2 that will hit a year while being here. So nuts to see that.
I’m happy. Just gotta keep doing good stuff. The trunkiness has kinda died, now it’s just a waiting experience, nothing else. That’s the weird part of it. Stopped thinking, and I’m glad. Maybe now its just time to live it up while I can. I’ve been trying, and doing some good things. I’m excited. Anyway. That’s about it. I left my camera in my backpack, and it ain’t here, so can’t send any new photos. Too bad. Have a great first week of summer, pretty soon getting down to the one digits on weeks, freakin me out. Love you guys a lot.

Madison,
Hey, yeah, weird stuff, I remember that first summer too. It was sad for about 3 days, then I couldn’t care less what happened. That’s always fun.
Yeah, I can’t believe it’s summer. I remember thinking that when summer came this year, it would be that close until I was home. Stuff that you think will never come does just that, and does it fast. Anyway. This should be a quick summer, and then I’ll be home, just takin up space again and doing nothing. Love you, ok? Have a good week, enjoy that first part as you have it.

Elder Jace Reber
Mis querridos ñaños,
Whats up, guys? Soo, schools out. Summertime. Pretty crazy to see that it’s already out. I hope that you guys are excited. I am, too. Love you a lot and hope that things keep going good.

Dear Mom and Dad,
Hey, I’m doing really good, I got to stay here in Calderon, so happy, and my comp is someone I’ve known since Santo Domingo, and he’s way cool. His name is Elder Baez, he’s the only missionary here from the Dominican Republic, and he was assistant, for, well, 3 weeks, then they dropped him for some stuff. I’m excited, though. He is a baptizing MACHINE, has over like 100 in his mission, and everyone he talks to gets in the water. I’m really interested to see how many I can hit up in June. Oh, and for my birthday, too.
What else? The girl we had been teaching got baptized, super cool, she was nervous. She actually got switched to a different ward, so it technically doesn’t count as my baptism, but I did a lot of it and helped out a lot. So I kinda count it. That’s good, right?
Well, that’s good. I’m happy, times countin down, should start to see a lot of stuff happening here, a lot of people that get in and out and are happy, and that everything is well. Love you guys a lot, can’t believe school already gets out this week. So weird.
Love,

Madison,
Hey, yeah, its pretty crazy that you are going to graduate this week. Like, super strange. Me almost ending the mish, and you ending high school. I hope that its a really good night for you, and that you can have a lot of fun in everything. I won’ lie, it’s gonna be sad. And really weird, more than anything. But what can I say? Life goes on.
Anyway. That’s all for that. Love ya, hope that this week goes well. Say bye to all of your hot friends for me. Please. Ok.

Dear Mom and Dad,
Well, don’t have a lot to say, said most of it yesterday, so that’s good, but it was fun. Can’t believe it was already the very last call. Weird to see and think about, but I guess it had to happen sometime, no? Yup. Cool beans. I’m still fine, and I’ll talk to you guys next week. I’ll think about the school thing, see what are some of my possibilities with that. It would be really weird though to have to just jump right in that fast, just not have any time to do much. I’m not sure. I’ll pray and see what God says.

Dear Family,
Hey, everything is going well. Still here in good ol Calderon, we had some success in the zone this week, which is awesome, and we should have a lot of baptisms this weekend. We ended with only 11 last month, but hopefully with this weekend, we´ll have around 13, and then still have 2 more weeks to baptize, so I hope that we can jump it good. That would be really good and exciting for me. We baptized a lady last weekend, super super poor, she pays like 30 dollars a month for rent, no light, her sons a friggin cocaine addict, but she is really humble, and everyone loves her. It was good. Showed up late yesterday, didn’t get confirmed, which sucks, but she will next week. I’m happy for that, I’ll send some pics.
What else? Excited for this weekend. I know that it´ll be good. Last one until I see you all in person, but thats ok. Not long now. But, I will probably get one at 4 here, so I think that would make it 3 there. My comp is gonna start at 3 here, but I don’t know if you guys will be home at that time, so I figured I could just wait an hour. It´ll be good. I’ll call on Friday or Saturday just to make sure that everything is good to go and at what time, so don’t worry about that. Good stuff.
What else? Thats all, I think. Have some divisions this week, got some new references to try and find, so that should be fun, and have a lot of goals that we wanna meet, so I’m pretty happy about some of the possibilities that we have for right now. Things are going well, I’m happy, its almost summer, which means absolutely nothing, already have plans to go get drunk on my birthday, now that I’m legal, according to US law, and also maybe go to Columbia, find me a woman, we´ll have to see. I’m glad I came here. I have seen a lot of stuff thats happened, a lot of miracles, and a lot of fun, and I know that God is going to bless me for everything thats happened. Thanks for all of you guys and your support for all of this. Have a good week, I’ll call Friday night, probably, to see how you all are.

Whats up, ñaña? Hey, so yeah, this weekend should be pretty fun, last call before I get to see you all in person and start calling from my cell phone again, that´ll be super weird, right? That’s for sure. We baptized this weekend, it’s already almost the friggin middle of may, freakin out, and, well, I’m just a happy camper, as always. Just trying to stay focused on everything that I need to do, and thinking that I’m accomplishing it. Good stuff.
Hey, love you a lot and excited to see everyone on Sunday. I think that it´ll be good.

Dear Reber Children,
Hey, guys, sorry I don’t have a lot of time to write all of you, but I’m glad that you’re all happy doing all of the things that you wanna do, and being able to be happy. I’m excited to be able to talk to you and everything, and I think that it´ll be really fun to do so. I love you guys a lot, keep going good until the end of school, and keep trying at the sports things. You´ll get better.

Dear Family,
Hey, I’m fine here. Working as usual, doing stuff. Haha, thats good. I’m glad that sports and life and all of that back at home is going all smooth and happy and well. That’s always good to know. Painting the house, weird, and changing some stuff, but I know that’s good. It´ll be a little weird, though. Apart from that, glad that everyone is well.
Had a pretty good week. They had a conference especially for Ecuador, and Elders Scott and Kristofferson spoke, both of which served spanish speaking missions. Elder Scott threw down hard on the (sanctidad?) of women, like them being good and stuff. It was awesome. Super appropriate for these people. For all South America, really, but it hit home. Tons cried. I did. It was good.
Apart from all that, I’m good. I’m still really trunky, but time is still passing by really good, so I can’t be that bad. We´re still doing work and trying to help people, and I’m really happy where I am. Its just sad to see that I’m not baptizing. I have to sacrifice finding people for the good of the zone, but God put me here for a reason. In the last like 9 weeks, we´ve only baptized 1, but we are going to this weekend, too. I’m just kinda frustrated, because we have no one in our whole program, and its kinda hard having it like that, but I just gotta keep pushin, I suppose. Whatever.
Well, I know the church is true. Getting to the end, seeing the finish line, all that good stuff, but just gotta enjoy it while I can. I’m not gonna lie, I’m excited to come back, why wouldn’t I be? I signed up for the two years, and now it’s coming to the end. I’ve done my time. But not all of it. Don’t worry about me. I will be excited until the last minute, but if I keep going on, God will be happy with me, that’s for sure. Miss you guys, looking forward to talkin to you all next weekend. Should be really cool.
Love, Elder Jace Reber

Hey, you better get those grades up, or there´ll be a problem. I’m sure that you can do it. Sounds like you’re doing good. Just keep having fun at home, but in a good way. Love ya, girly. Look forward to talkin to ya next week.

April 23, 2012
Dear Family,
Haha, yeah, I’m having fun, within reason, more or less. Everything is good here. We haven’t seen too much stuff, but a lot could be our fault. We should, though, before the change ends, have 3 more baptisms, so I can be happy with that. Then just the last two, baptize 10, and come back a feliz guy. Heck yeah. Anyway.
This week, nothing different happened. Just passing time, as usual, things going on, trying to keep moving on. We have some cool people in the programs, and our zone is really progressing a lot. I think that we should see a lot of good things happen soon, just gotta wait for it. Pretty crazy to think Mother’s Day is coming up. Hahaha, I still remember Christmas, like yesterday. We are just waiting for it. Should be a real treat.
What else? Bought some stuff today, we went to Otavalo. It was cool, lots of like homemade crafts and crap and stuff. Fun, fun. Aside, I’m just happy. Talkin to people, just learning skills for life. It’s really good, and I’m glad that I came here. Apart from the spiritual side, the most important, I’ve grown so much as a regular guy, and that’s good. Well, the basics that I probably should have known before. Some. I dunno.
Well, I know that the church is true, and that everything that I’m doing here is good and will help me become better and come back to God. I lost like 3 tshirts, think somebody robbed them, and some socks, and a tie, but I’m fine. Bought another today. Small and simple things, whatever. Keep on back there at home, sigan adelante, don’t give up, don’t get tired, la noche viene ya. Love you guys and miss you.
Love, Elder Jace Reber
Pffft, hahaha, I almost forgot. So there’s a crazy girl in our ward, absolutely NUTS, and she leaves stuff in our house, life, comes up, comes to church and is way dumb and annoying, and she went to Relief Society yesterday, told everyone that she had a dream, and that God told her that I’m a prophet and that she should listen to every word that comes outta my mouth. Hahaha, so freakin crazy, but its awesome. Some of the photos are of me and my counselors, hahaha.
Oh, and I’m gonna send a package home with a present for Hunters birthday and maybe some other stuff, too. I would’ve to the other kids, but I’m stupid with ideas. I thought of something cool for the little boy, so I hope to send it out tomorrow or Wednesday. We'll see.
Hunter, Whitney, and Brooklyn,
First off, great job Whitney on the Patriot award. Don’t know what it is, but good job. I can’t believe that you guys only have 21 days left of school. That’s pretty crazy. Anyway. I love all of you guys, and want you to be happy, ok? Have a good week.

Dear Family,
Well, this week was good. Did some fun stuff, saw a lot of people in the zone that were able to come to church, and we have some other people with some possibilities of getting baptized, we hope. That would be good to help boost up the excitement in everything, I know that. We´ll hope. I’m not too worried, as usual.
Sounds like things are fun at home. People are a little bit sick, but that’s life, no? Trying my best not to either. Haven’t had anything really bad yet in the mish, that’s really great. Just in Carcelen Bajo when I took a nap there, but apart from that, nothin. Good, good. Lots of people getting married and coming home, too. More people that are my friends. Really weird to hear about. Next up will be James or Gentry, then Sam. Haha, oh well.
That’s about it for this week. I haven’t been taking a lot of photos recently. I am going to start to remember to do it, so that things will be funner and have some stuff to look back on, too. I love you guys a lot, and know that this is true. Times passing by, still, and it’s getting weirder and weirder every day. I mean, it feels like May is just around the corner. Crazy stuff. Ok. I know that church is true, having fun out here, and trying my best. Thanks for all of the support. Love you all.

Madison,
Cool about school and crap, that should be fun for you, I think. Things are running here the same for me. Can’t believe how fast April is moving, though. Like, way way fast. But that’s the way the cookie crumbles, as they say. Hey, how are all of the teachers doing there? Sorenson, Mrs. Duncan, Mrs Merrell, Hartley, Werb, who else. . . . . , I think thats about it, no? Sanders was a good guy, and I think those are all of them. How are they all? Good, I hope. Tell friggin Monty to write me. Tell him "20 months?!" Gosh, friggin guy.
Hey, well, that’s all for now. Times going on, just trying to stay focused. Its hard, man. Love ya.

Haha, what’s that whole "get lost until the end of your mission?" Just shut up, yeah? Nah, just joking, but I’m trying. Things are starting to look up. I was pretty nervous about the changes, but that’s all kinda back to normal, stayed here, with my comp, doing stuff, good stuff, so that’s happy. Whatev, I’m trying, and I feel good, so yeah.
Anyway. Going to Dixie. You realize I’ll probably see you like 3 days before you have to go down and live in the south, right? That’s weird to me. And I promise that I can’t sleep in your house there. They won’t let me. Maybe I can sleep in Santa Clara. I’m basically the golden grandchild now, for going on a mish and being hot and worthy and hot. Ok.
Hey, well, that’s good about the excitement at home, means people are still thinkin about me. That makes me happy. Hey, love ya lots and miss ya have a good un. Everybody loves the missionary. Soooo many girls have been giving me the look lately. I think I am even better looking than I realize. .........K, bye.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Dear Whitney and Hunter,
Easter weekend, that’s really fun, no? I bet it was. I didn’t do anything, but we got changes. I’m still here, though, so that’s good. I hope that you guys had a lot of fun and had a good time. That would make me happy. I love you both a lot and hope that you enjoy the rest of school.

Dear Family,
Hey, I’m good, as usual. Still alive. There were changes last night, but I’m still here with my comp, Elder Vasquez, so we´re both pretty stoked for that. I sure as crap didn’t wanna leave. I think my last two changes they flip me out of here and put me in a different place. We´ll see. But I’m excited. We baptized on Saturday, almost didn’t go down, so much stuff, but it happened and we´re happy. The zone did well, too. Last month, as a zone, we only baptized 5, which is like grossly bad. But, this last weekend, we baptized 9, so we´re feelin a lot better, and hoping that we can end the month with at the very least 15. Hope so. The baptism went well, the changes were good, my buddy Aitken is still here, and some new people too that are freakin bombshell, so I’m stoked. It´ll be good stuff. Other than that, I can’t think of anything new. Just trying to find new people. Think I found myself another potential wife, but I usually like to try and say new and interesting things, not the day by day crap, so I’ll just leave that out.
Good about the things at home, sounds like everyone is moving forward. Hunter said that there are only 6 weeks left of school, holy crap, that’s weird. I don’t know what to say about that. Seems like I was just thinking about all of the time that would have to pass before I got back, namely, two school years and two summers. Getting down to that last summer. It’s been one heck of a ride. But that’s that. Services for the recently deceased, thats gotta be difficult, and all of the other things, too. Life has just become something so routine. It’s good, but almost bad. I don’t want it to become so routine that baptizing is just a business, almost which it is. I don’t get nervous or worried anymore if someone doesn’t say yes. Before, I would always feel bad and frustrated. I think its time to go hard again, find some new people. I know that I can do it. It can’t be impossible, can it? I don’t think so. Anyways.
Thanks for all of the updates. It helps me stay connected with some stuff going on back home. I’ve just been really like focused on how good a couple looks when the girl is in a white gown outside of the temple. . . . . . it probably doesn’t mean anything. . . . .or maybe. . . . . . . . . . . . ooooooooook, listo, anyway. I know that this is Christ´s church, I’m giving the opportunity of salvation to these people, and I friggin love it. Love you guys and miss you all.

Dear Family,
Yeah, everything is good here. This week is a lot better, should have a baptism this weekend, 2 the next, the zone has got tons better, and should have an excellent month. It goes good, then bad, then good, then bad. That’s the life of the mish. Anyway. I’m feeling good, just trying to stay excited in everything. I think that I can do it. Anyway. Its the last week of changes. I don’t expect a change, but you never know. It’s kinda dicey, what with it being so few now. I suppose anything can happen.
Sad about the deaths. Especially Aunt Barbara. Never knew her that well, but do remember when she would take us to school. That was nice. Good times. Fun about the bowling thing, too. I would, every time, watch a movie at 3 in the morning, eat an entire ice cream, and like 4 sandwiches, haha. Fun stuff. Can’t do that no more.
Lots of hard stuff at home, but it’s always easy to remember that God loves us for the things that he has given us, no? For family, friends, being able to have the spirit. It’s incredible the hope that someone can feel just by listening and searching for that. I have seen so many people changed, more than I ever thought possible that someone like me could do, and it is just so good. I know that all of this stuff is true, because it’s not possible that it couldn’t. I love what I am doing here, no matter how hard it might be. I love you guys a lot. Keep praying for me. I’ve talked with Elder Aitken, we´re gonna fly in to St. George, just so you know, and so I can get it outta my head, haha. Love you all.

Hey, I’m sorry that it was hard for you back at home. I hope that you had a good time this week, though. I love you and miss you a lot, too.
Dear Hunter,
Hey, that’s sad that you couldn’t go to church, but sometimes its just like that. I love you and miss you. Keep doing good things, ok?

Dear Family,
Hey, yeah, I hope that this letter is longer than a couple of sentences, but there’s nothing new. I can’t even think to write anything in my journal, because we don’t do anything. We have been looking and trying to find new people, but not too much luck yet. We just gotta buckle down. I feel we haven’t given it all. I know that this ward is amazing, and I wanna see some good things outta it. I know that there are still a ton of people that I can help and baptize, just gotta keep at it. It´ll be good. Freak, the change is almost over. How crazy. Only three after. Things starting to get crazy.
Anyway. That’s about that. Sounds like things are passing well at home. Can’t believe the changes that are going to pass quick back there. Everyone’s getting old, and I’m just getting bald as crap. That’s the truth. You´ll all see on Mother´s Day. Haha, that’s already getting here, too. Feels like yesterday we talked on Christmas. Anyway.
Well, I love you guys a lot, and hope that you are all well. Keep doing what you gotta do, going to church, reading, family home evening, all of that good stuff. Summer’s almost there. Here, no idea, haha. Don’t even remember the days or the seasons of anything. Time flies when you’re serving Dios! Have a good week, miss you all, love you all.

Hey, fun about all the stuff that you have been doing. Good job in school too and on all of that stuff. That makes me happy. It´ll be weird if Madison moves out, but she’s gotta do it sometime, right? Yup. Love ya, girly. Have a good week.

Dear Fam,
Hey, I’m fine, just like always, out here in the middle of the freakin world, just convertin these Ecuatorianos out here. Fun. This week was pretty good, did some fun stuff, ate, proselyted, did all of that stuff, just like always. Haha, I dunno. I’m kinda outta it. Last night, we slept at Aitkens house, because my freakin mattresses have like fleas in them, so I used that liquid crap. We were up pretty late. Haha, but fun. Enjoying myself out here, just trying my very best. This month was really hard for us, and we didn’t hardly have like any success at all, but I’m hoping that they´ll give me another change with my companion so that we can try to show our stuff here, and to just help the zone get up and get going. I’m not too worried. We don’t have absolutely anybody with a date, but we have a lot of possibility to find people. I’m hoping so.
Anyway. It sounds like everything is going good back at home, and that makes me happy. I dunno. In two weeks it´ll already be General Conference. Crazy. My last one in the mission. I remember in Santo Domingo when we watched the Priesthood Session there in like November. All of them were talking about how close they were. Freak. It makes me kinda sad. Ok.
Well, I love you guys a lot. I know that what I’m doing here is true and that I’m helping a lot of people be happy and come closer to God. I’m sorry that I don’t have a lot to say. Things are just starting to become normal. Like, really, really, really normal. But I know that’s what God wants. I miss you all, and look forward to hearing from you again in the next week.
Love,

Madison,
Hey, just keep doing what you can in school, ok? The senioritis crap is dumb. I had it too, and just kept doing stuff. I dunno. I’m tired, man. Anyway. Good luck on the whole house thing, I’ll be living free at home for a bit, until I find a super hot rich chick that´ll pay for everything. I think I deserve that. I’m bacánsisimo. You know it.
Ok. Well, love ya, girly, have a good week. Freak, it’s already almost gettin to April, can you believe that? I can’t. Ok. Miss ya a lot, hope you know it. It´ll be sad when you leave like 3 days after I get home.

Hey, I’m fine. Having fun here in Ecuador, just hangin out, trying to find people to teach and good stuff to do. I think I’m succeeding. We´ll see. Anyway. I love you a lot and miss you. Good luck in singing and everything, seems like you´ve really picked it up. Hasta que hablemos otra vez.
Dear Whitney,
I’m doing good. Softball tryouts, huh? I bet it´ll be fun, though, and that you´ll do really good. I hope so, anyway. Cool. I’m having fun here, too. We are working hard. I love you and miss you a lot. Have a fun week, yeah?
Dear Hunter,
Hey, Ecuador is really good this week. Lots of fun stuff to do and new people to meet, so that makes me really happy too. Haha, a rainbow trout? Hit dad for me, ok? Hahaha, cool, buddy. I hope you do good. Love you and miss you.

Dear Fam,
Hey, everything is good out here. Tired as crap, we went to Cotopaxi today with the zone, way fun, and hiked so far. I’m way beat, but that’s the mish. This week went well, had a ton of changes, though. Elder Sanchez got changed, and now I’m with an Elder named Elder Vasquez. He’s from Guatemala. He’s way cool, too, and we´re having fun out here doing stuff, trying to help some people. All that. As far as zone leader goes, you do have less time to work in the sector, but there is time still. We got a reference the other day, and we are probably going to baptize a lady and her daughters, if all goes well. We hope, at least. So that’s good. I’m glad to know that everything is going fun at home, like always.
The card is ok. There aren’t any problems anymore. My card from the mission just doesn’t have money. I think someone hacked in and stole the money without me even knowing. Freak, that sucks, but there’s nothing that I can do about it. Just gotta take it out from my own for a bit until they can fix it. I think so. I should probably call them, no? We´ll see. Apart from that, everything here is still the same. Time passing still, just hit 19 months yesterday, gross, but cool. Time is coming down. Elder Aitken came here in the zone, who I’ll be flying in with to St. George, so we talk a whole friggin lot about stuff, and its fun. Haha, just kinda get trunky together, but get along good. I like that.
Man, sounds like everything else is the same at home, as usual. Haha, it’s starting to become the same on my side. I just don’t feel anything out of the ordinary anymore. You hear weird crap, scary stuff, but its normal now, and you know how to answer it, and answer it well. I love this mish thing. I’m more excited now than when I started my mission, and it makes me so happy. Love it. I know that this is true, and that if I keep pushing, even when it may seem like there’s not much time left, everything will turn out well, and that’s awesome. I love you guys a lot, and have a good week.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Hey, everything is good out here. Tired as crap, we went to Cotopaxi today with the zone, way fun, and hiked so far. I’m way beat, but that’s the mish. Madison,
Hey, he’s a good dude, I’ll tell him to do it. You gotta entertain him. Who knows? Maybe you´ll end up falling for that friggin mexican. Anyway. Cool about the Dixie scholarship. It could be really fun for you. And then I´d have a place to crash down there when I just wanted to hang out or something. I think it could be really fun. Maybe. Ok. Well, I love you too. Have a good week. Do something fun, but not stupid, yeah.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Dear Brooklyn,
Hey, fun stuff about the SEOP week. I can still remember that, getting out early every day. How fun was all of that. Super. Anyway. I’m good, too, happy, and just doing all the stuff that I need to do and want to do, as well. Love you and miss you.
Dear Whitney,
Hey, how are you? Good, I hope. This week was fast for me, too, just like all of the other weeks, but I am still having fun and know that everything will keep being good at home, too. Love you and miss you a lot, too.
Dear Hunter,
Hey, yeah, go to church. I hope that you had fun this week, doing a bunch of things that you wanted to do. That’s always good, right? Ok. Well, I love you and miss you and want you to have a super good week.

Dear Family,
Hey, this week was interesting. First week as a zone leader. Learned a lot of new things, and saw some of the corrupt things of the mission. I have never even been near it before, but I heard some things I never would’ve even thought of here. Better left unsaid. Love my comp, but he is leaving tomorrow from here, for some reasons. So they are going to send me another one, hopefully as good as him. Some wickedness, but we all pass it. I’m just nervous because I don’t know the sector, like, at all, or the names of the limits or anything. It’s gonna be a really interesting change. But I know that I’ll be able to do it. I’m not worried.
Cool. That’s about that. Nothing else new. I’m super tired, just waiting for tomorrow. The letters just keep getting shorter and shorter, but it’s just like the same thing every day. It grows on you, and just becomes a part of who you are. Like when you ask a kid "What`d ya do in school today?" "Nothin." Something like that. Just the same ol, same ol. Ok. Well, I love you guys a lot. I know that what I’m doing is true. Zone leader is a different responsibility, what working more with the zone, but there still are baptisms. I know that I’ll be able to do it. Have a good week, everyone.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber

Hey, sounds like the week has gone ok. I’m good out here as a ZL, just trying to help some people, keep em in line, and have a little bit of fun, all at the same time. Possible? You better friggin believe it. Anyway. Sucky about school, but you gotta do it. It’s hard to want to keep doing it when it’s this close to graduating. Keep up what you can, yeah?
Ok. Well, that’s it. Have fun. Megan’s getting married, gross. Haha, no. Love ya, have a super good week.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Oh, ps, there may be some mexican dude, Elder Resendiz, who writes you soon. He’s my bro. Marry him. He’s buff, and I need a chance with his sister. :)
Brooklyn,
Happy Birthday! That’s fun that you were able to do some of the stuff that you wanted to do. I hope that it was just the funnest birthday ever in the whole world. I love you a lot and miss you, too.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Hunter,
How cool about the testimony and chess and stuff. Keep doing it, and keep doing sports, too. Those two things will help you a lot. I love you and miss you a lot. I’m doing good. Can’t believe its already March.

Dear Family,
Well, I’m good. This week, we did have the baptism of the little girl, we macheted the bishop a lot, got him to open up, found some new people, and then. .. . . . got changed. They flipped me over to a sector about 15 minutes from where I was before. Crap. There’s one part of the zone where I can literally see Carcelen Bajo. Wow, how big. Only thing different is that they moved me up to Zone Leader, so that should be interesting. There is a big difference, and I just hope that I can learn all of the little things, and learn them pretty fast. Elder Albino was here before, with an Elder named Elder Sanchez, from Honduras. So Albino got kicked out and I’m with Sanchez. I already knew him a little bit, and he’s way cool. We should have a lot of fun together. The only thing I’m worried about is that everyone absolutely was in love with Albino, and it´ll be hard living up to that. I can at least try. I think that if I just do the best I can, not think about what they thought before, and just work, God will open up the opportunities for these people, and hopefully for the elders here. We´ll see.
Other than that, nothing new has happened. Said bye to all of my converts on Friday and Saturday. Pretty hard. Some, well, haha, just kinda said, Yeah, ok, cool. Others, a little bit harder to say it to them. I’ll come back to visit all of them someday. That’s the truth. Cool.
Alright. I think that’s about it. Life is just moving on like always, nothing new or super exciting. Just kinda doing the best that I can, and putting the rest in Gods hands. I know that this is true, I’m learning a whole lot, trying to be better every day. Time is still flying pretty fast, but I know that there are a lot of things for me to do here. Just gotta find them and do it. It may not be something over the top, but maybe in some way I can touch even just one person, and help them to know what it is that they have to do. I hope so. I love you guys a lot, and miss you, and want you all to be really happy.

Madison,
Hey, sounds fun. Hope that the dance is good and all that. I know that you´ll enjoy yourself. As for work, maybe it´ll be a good break for you. I dunno. I’m super tired. I was up till 1 last night packing all of my crap. I got changed today to a zone called Calderon. My sector, I actually have no idea the name. But whatever. It should all be fun. Love you and miss you.

Dear Whitney,
Well, maybe there is something to say, but maybe not. Maybe you’re right. I dunno. Anyway. This week was not really slow for me, actually, it was pretty fast, just like all of them, but I’m doing work and having fun, and I think that’s the most important part. Love you and miss you.
Dear Hunter,
Haha, I think that you better here the story about Enos again, because it sounds like you might be a little mixed up, but that’s ok. You´ll learn. Ok. I want some treats, too, and hopefully we can get some pretty soon. We´ll see. Love you and miss you.

Dear Brooklyn,
Well, happy birthday on Saturday! I know that it will be a fun day for you, and that you hopefully can get everything that you want and be happy with it, too. I got changed today, to a place like 15 minutes away from where I was before. Freak. But I’m happy. I want you to be happy, and know that everything will be good if you just put your trust in God. Love you and miss you.

Dear Family,
Well, I’ doing good, as always. Nothing to complain about. This week, we didn’t have any baptisms, but ya win some, ya lose some. We do have a little girl next week, and then after that a lady and her daughter. Should be pretty good. I hope so, at the very least. Nothing too new has happened. Went to the most dangerous part of my sector, where they rob almost 100 percent and sometimes kill people, and we went at night. Haha, what ya gotta do for some people. But we weren’t murdered and now we´re gonna baptize the girl. Cool. What else? Nothing that I can think of.
I’m glad that you guys are all well at home. Time is passing really fast, and I can’t believe that, once again, the end of the change has come. It’s weird to think about it. Just one week. It’s almost 100 percent that I’ll be leaving here this week, and there’s been word going around, but it’s just junk. We´ll see. If so, well, I’ll go, but if not, it would be fun to stick around. We should baptize 6 or 7 in these next couple a weeks. Hopefully my next, possibly last, sector will be as fruitful.
I think that’s it. I didn’t take a single photo this week, not sure why, but next week, we should see some. Gonna visit all of my converts, the people that we´re gonna baptize, and my favorite members. That´ll be fun. Anyway. I might get on later today, because I still have 20 minutes left, and I’m WAY hungry, so I gotta get some bread or yogurt or 5 hamburgers. We´ll see. I love you guys a lot, and am grateful for all of the things that you are doing back there at home. Hang in there, I’m on my way to save the day, haha. Cool about the marriages and that everyone is just growing up. Has Ashley had a kid yet, or still no? I think that´ll be the weirdest part, seeing people from my class with little younguns. Haha, ok. That’s all.
Love,

Madison,
Yeah, cool about all of the stuff that’s going on. That’s happy and good to know. Haha, Tanner is getting married, then. Anjali waited. Good for her. Only like 3 months after. Crazy.
Well, that’s about it. This week was pretty good, we should have 6 or 7 baptisms in the next couple of weeks, it’s been going excellent down here, my comp freakin macheted super hard on the ward yesterday, and now they all hate us, but its likely that this next Monday I’ll get changed out of here, maybe to my last place, weird to think about, but its time, right? Ok. Love ya, girly. Do good on school, build up the family relationship, and if some of those friends are still single, well. . . heh heh, we´ll see.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Dear Whitney,
It’s ok if your letter is short, sometimes there just isn’t a lot to say. I’m good here, living happy, helping a lot of people. I love you and miss you. Have a fun week.
Dear Hunter,
Don’t break anything in the house. That wouldn’t be good, at all. That’s a promise. I love you and miss you.
Dear Brooklyn,
Fun on the sledding. I´d like to do it, but there isn’t any snow here, so I think that it is basically impossible to do it. Oh well. Love you and miss you a lot.

Dear Family,
Well, I probably had the best week of my mish this last week. We baptized every single one of the people that we had planned, and freak, it was so awesome. It was the best night of life. That’s almost for sure. Everyone was super happy, including me, pues. The water heater didn’t have gas, and it was the coldest water of any baptism in the whole mission, but you know what? Didn’t even care. It was a really awesome experience that I will never forget. And in a place where everyone says it’s impossible. Good stuff for Elder Reber. We also had two investigators show up to church, completely out of nowhere, so we should even end the change baptizing a couple more people. Wow. Can you say happiest missionary ever? I can. Way good stuff. We had the conference with President, too, and I got to see like five of my old comps, and my son, too, Elder Dos Santos. Big ol black dude, but was happy to see that guy. Still loves me, still love him. Fun, fun.
What else? That was basically the week. I can’t remember anything else that we did over the days. Had the best fish I’ve ever tried on Saturday, my gosh, soooo good. We gotta fry fish at home. It’s the only way to do it, and do it right. We´ll do it.
Ummm, that’s that. I can’t think of anything else. Cool about you guys being able to go up north and do some fun stuff up there. That’s good. Sad about the dog. It will be hard on them, and especially Grandpa. Just hope he´ll still be able to smile when I get back. I think so. The pancakes, nah, that idea got old quick. Back to good ol cereal. Costs a bit more, but hey, it fills, it’s fast, and I can do it easy. As for treats, just starbursts. Any other new stuff I´d like, stuff I haven’t seen for a while, or whatever looks good in the store. I ain’t picky anymore. It’s not raining, at all, I have been wearing the shoes every day, yeah, really, I’m used to it now, I am losing weight, love Quito, does wonders for me, and I’m just moving along like its nobodies business. Gonna change up a lot back at home when I return. It´ll be good, though.
Well, that’s all. I love you guys a lot, and am so happy for all of the success and miracles that I am seeing here in this place. I know that what I’m doing is true and good, and that I’ve been helping a lot of people here. Mainly me. It looks like nothing anymore, I know that whole mission, and I’m confident in what I’m doing. I have goals, and will be meeting them. Gotta put some new ones, it looks like. This church is true, this work is from God, and I’m receiving blessings like I never even believed. Ok. Miss you all, and have a sweet week. February is already almost coming to a close. Wow.
Love,
Elder Jace Reber
Ah, its true, tomorrow is Valentines Day. How weird to think. I remember last year Valentines Day, super good. I was with Elder Perez, and it was my second week in Conocoto. How weird to think. It feels like it was so long ago, but in the same time, it feels like just yesterday. Crazy.
Crap, I forgot. There was a little earthquake here the other day. It was awesome. I was in divisions, doing interviews with some missionaries in the other district and our ZL, Elder Vanegas, and we were sleeping on the floor. At 5:45, it just starts to shake a little. I had no idea what to do. Kinda just sat there like an idiot, and then it stopped. Super weird. Haha, the Mexican, Elder Borroel, crazy dude, love him, runs out, "Dude, did you feel that? Tell me you felt that. I’m freakin out, man." Haha, so good.

Dear Madison,
Wow, lots of new, good stuff that’s happened there. That’s good. Cool about the work, I think. I only had thirty hours when it was summer. It’s not hard working every single day? Like, doing stuff at night? No idea. Oh well. If you’re happy.
Good for you to pay for everything, too. You´re gonna be doing it still, real quick, and for the rest of your whole friggin life, so its good that you got it going now. I’m glad for you. Cool about school, too. Sounds like everything is falling in place.
I’m glad that you’re reading and stuff, too. Seminary Presidency, huh? Haha, I was in that too, in first semester of Senior year. With Sage Womack. Ha! I was the worst ever. Half the time I never even showed up. Haha, Sage, too. We both would come 20 minutes late. Brother Lefevre was always way mad, but gotta love him. Anyway. Be good at it. I know that you can.
As for the fam, just have a good attitude. Treat everyone with a lot of respect, doing the best that you can to gain their confidence. Mom just worries about you and wants you to be happy. And she wants you to talk to her, be nice, and always smile and just be happy. Something I’ve learned here. You ALWAYS gotta smile. There should never be a time when you don’t have a smile on your face. I love it. At first, it was kinda hard. But now, it’s just natural. Even when I don’t wanna talk to anyone, once I do, the smile comes out, and it makes me happy. I love it. Try it.
Well, that’s about it. I baptized like a beast last week, happy as crap, just filled up 18 months, about the craziest thing I’ve ever heard in my whole life, and, well, yeah. I love ya a lot, you know that, and want you to be happy. 6 short months and I’ll be home to machete you in person. Don’t ya miss me?
Love,
